79: Headed for Sunshine

Don't confuse your path with your destination.
Just because it's stormy, it doesn't mean you aren't
headed for sunshine.

78: The Beach

I have always loved the beach. The smell of the salty water, the wind in my face, the gentle roar of the waves all combine to create a sense of peace and calm.

74: Who Will Tell

"Who will tell whether one happy moment of love,
or the joy of breathing, or walking on a bright morning
and smelling the fresh air,
is not worth all the suffering and effort which life implies."
~Erich Fromm

All you need to start an asylum is an empty room
and the right kind of people.

72: Those Who Dwell In Romance

"Those who dwell in romance, fate, and love are stupid.
What makes them brilliant, however, is that leap they take towards HAPPINESS."

70: Just Keep Swimming

"Just Keep Swimming"
- Dory / Finding Nemo

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Photo taken last year during mother's day. It was our first time using the underwater feature of the camera we just bought. It was hard keeping our breaths and staying underwater  (I kept floating back up) but it was a fun experience. And I learned something that day, as my aunt would put it, "moral lesson in taking underwater pictures: KEEP SMILING! WITH OR WITHOUT OXYGEN." Haha''

I quoted Dory here, a character from Finding Nemo, because it just fits the photos, because I totally like that movie and watched it a gazillion times and because she's such a lovable character. Kidding aside, I quoted her  line "Just Keep Swimming" for this post as a reminder to each and everyone of us that even if things don't work out the way we want it to be or planned it to be, we just have to pick ourselves up and keep on moving. Don't give up and keep on fighting! c:

69: Collisions

"Life is a series of collisions with the future;
it is not the sum of what we have been,
but what we yearn to be."
~ Jose Ortega y Gasset

First time ever tried doing this kind of post-processing for the photos. Mashed two photos into one. I like the effect. Truly a collision of hues and or mood. c:

68: Look About You

This photo was taken last year on my summer trip to Initao, Misamis Oriental, Philippines. Whenever we go to beach resorts or the beach, I always make it a point to wake up early to catch the sunrise. On that particular day, however, I was greeted by grey skies. I wasn't disappointed though and I still took some photos of what was before me because it was still beautiful- sunny or not. c:

67: Gorge Yourself On Beauty

"George yourself on beauty. Seek out beauty in life, not for the simulation,
but for the sheer pleasure of the experience."

Finally! After almost a year of being inactive, I am back! Really sorry for the long hiatus. I got caught up with traveling, school, and getting sick a lot (I'm still actually sick right now but that's another story and I'll tell you about it another time). Will be picking up where I left off and update this blog from now on.

This photo was taken last year, a summer trip with my sisters to Pakil, Laguna, Philippines. We climbed** Mt. Pingas (a mountain that belongs to the series of mountains that comprise the Sierra Madre Mountains) and watched the sun set in the horizon. Truly a breathtaking place. That's Laguna de Bay at the center of the photo while the photos on either side are of Pakil.

**Actually, my twin sister and I had it easy as compared to my older sister (who climbed the mountain with a cousin earlier in the morning as well), we didn't climb from all way down the bottom of the mountain. Relatives lived somewhere near the top of the mountain and they brought us there by car. From their house, we then had to walk a bit and then climb these multitude of steps towards the top of the mountain.
