66: In Love..

"In love, there's no way that everyone can be happy.
There will always be someone who will get hurt."
~Takanashi Mitsuba / Akuma De Sourou / Mitsuba Takanashi

Finally, an update! ♥ Late updates are late. However, I will try to catch up. I have just been busy traveling, working out at the gym and getting sick that I have failed to update per week as planned. Nevertheless, I have not given up. I will reach 365 posts! ♥

P.S. The 'couple' eggs should look familiar. They're the same eggs I used for my 65th post. c;

For so long have I admired you, Puri-Gorota. Your paper cranes are AWESOME! *D*.
Haha'' Another paper crane piece (the small white one) to add to my collection or posts.
I dedicate this post to her for being a good teacher and supporter.

P.S. That paper crane being shown on the laptop screen was made by Puri-Gorota chan.

63: Firework

This post is inspired by the song "Firework" By Katy Perry
and my unexplainable admiration for fireworks. c:

I discovered this flower (not sure if it is a flower) outside my house just today.
Awesome, isn't it? What you can find in your own front yard. c:

Listen to the song here: Firework by Katy Perry. ♥

-----

FIREWORK BY KATY PERRY

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag,
drifting through the wind
wanting to start again?
Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
like a house of cards,
one blow from caving in?

Do you ever feel already buried deep?
6 feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing
Do you know that there's still a chance for you
'Cause there's a spark in you

You just gotta ignite, the light, and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July

'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby, you're a firework
Come on, let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh"
You're gonna leave 'em all in awe, awe, awe

You don't have to feel like a waste of space
You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow

Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed
So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightning bolt, your heart will GLOW
And when it's time, you'll know

You just gotta ignite, the light, and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July

'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby, you're a firework
Come on, let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, Oh, Oh"
You're gonna leave 'em all in awe, awe, awe

Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
It's always been inside of you, you, you
And now it's time to let it through-ough-ough

'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh, Oh, Oh"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby, you're a firework
Come on, let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, Oh, Oh"
You're gonna leave 'em all in awe, awe, awe

Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

62: Amazed (Part 2)

Another layout style AND another series. This is part two of the "amazed" series.

Anyway, this post is inspired by the song Amazed by Lonestar.
You guys should check it out. It's a lovely song~ ♥
Listen to it here: Amazed by Lonestar

I now share to you the lyrics to the song. Enjoy! c;

Amazed by Lonestar

Every time our eyes meet
This feeling inside me
Is almost more than I can take
Baby when you touch me
I can feel how much you love me
And it just blows me away
I've never been this close to anyone or anything
I can hear your thoughts
I can see your dreams

I don't know how you do what you do
I'm so in love with you
It just keeps getting better
I want to spend the rest of my life
With you by my side
Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do
Baby, I'm amazed by you

The smell of your skin
The taste of your kiss
The way you whisper in the dark
Your hair all around me
Baby you surround me
You touch every place in my heart
Oh, it feels like the first time, every time
I want to spend the whole night in your eyes

Chorus

Solo

Every little thing that you do
I'm so in love with you
It just keeps getting better
I want to spend the rest of my life
With you by my side
Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do
Baby, I'm amazed by you

61: Amazed (Part 1)

Another layout style AND another series. This is part one of the "amazed" series.
Moreover, I learned something new about taking photos.
Tried it out for this series and I am quite proud of it. c:

for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.

Finally! I was able to make a decent Paper Crane! c: It took me a few months to actually make one. XDDD

This post is dedicated to Puri Goroto (Momo-chan) because she has been an inspiration and a good teacher.

She has her own project about paper cranes (365 paper cranes).

54: My Rose

No text again because it wouldn't fit. XD
Tried a "new" layout. ; )

The title "my rose" is taken from one of the lines of the Little Prince to the other roses in the rose garden.
Read the excerpt below so that you (if you haven't read this book) will understand what this post is about.

Excerpt from the Little Prince:

The little prince went away, to look again at the roses.

"You are not at all like my rose," he said. "As yet you are nothing. No one has tamed you, and you have tamed no one. You are like my fox when I first knew him. He was only a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But I have made him my friend, and now he is unique in all the world."

And the roses were very much embarrassed.

"You are beautiful, but you are empty," he went on. "One could not die for you. To be sure, an ordinary passerby would think that my rose looked just like you- the rose that belongs to me.

But in herself alone she is more important than all the hundreds of you other roses...

because it is she that I have watered;

because it is she that I have put under the glass globe;

because it is she that I have sheltered behind the screen;

because it is for her that I have killed the caterpillars (except the two or three that we saved to become butterflies);

because it is she that I have listened to, when she grumbled, or boasted,

or even sometimes when she said nothing.

Because she is my rose."

- The Little Prince, Chapter XXI
by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

53: Sunset

No text. Nothing really came to mind. :c
This post is for Dr. Munalim. One of the best teachers I had in college.
I will surely miss seeing him around in school. And hearing him call out
"Langga" to me and to the rest of the students who were under him
in history class.

I chose this picture (among the shots I have taken) because his life has finally reached its final sunset. Although I wasn't able to attend his funeral today, I have already said my last goodbye at his wake.

Moreover, there's still a little mystery to his death. The authorities have claimed that it was suicide but I beg to differ. Nevertheless, I won't argue anymore since I can't really do anything about it. But I would emphasize this: Sir Munalim brought the real reason and how he really died to the grave.

To my classmates and to those who were lucky to be with him in history class. Please continue to pray for sir.

51: Sum of All Its Parts

This photo/post is part of a series. This post is part two (as I have mentioned here in part one) of the series.

As promised, I will explain to you the concept and the reason for this photo. The whole idea (from the title to how this stuff came to be) comes from the phrase: ""The whole is greater than the sum of the parts" which is often used in explaining Gestalt theory/ Gestalt psychology. You can read more about this theory here.

I would make a wild guess and say that most of you would look at the picture and say, it's a heart. Well, in a way it is (since that was what I was really going for) but what if I tell you they are really just a bunch of paper carefully placed out that way? That's where Gestalt psychology comes in and the phrase of course. You see, we tend to see the greater whole first than the parts. The reason for that is still unknown really but Gestalt psychology has come up with several hypothesis that would help us at least understand a little. So I really would recommend that you read it here. I don't really want to explain what Gestalt psychology is because it isn't really my forte. I came across this only because I had psychology as one of my subjects in college. Moreover, that would only lead as astray from the reason why I went for this concept.

So anyway, the reason why I went for this concept is because of the following reasons:
♥ It's the end of February, so that means my posts about love and other matters of the heart would end here.
♥ I always got ideas from people who are either dead or I haven't really met. So I was thinking maybe I should not look for the answers from books or from the net anymore for this final post for this month's theme and get the answers from people I know.
♥ Love doesn't really have just one meaning so I wanted to prove that point by doing this. These are a bunch of people and their definition of love differs yet they are referring to the same "thing". Isn't that amazing? c: I don't really know if you get what I am trying to say but I hope you do.
♥ Gestalt Psychology has always intrigued me and I wanted to incorporate it somehow for this project of mine. c:

So yeah, I guess that's it. c: And those beads? I don't really know why I included them. At that time, I was like, maybe this will make my photo look prettier? Haha''

Credits to Denise, Rowna, Elmar, Kimi, Jonell, Mi-ann, Larz, Gayle, Francium, and Crissa. ♥

P.S. I think I may have murdered your names somehow.. for that I'm sorry.

50: What is Love?

Thank you to those who were generous enough to share their thoughts about love with me. I'm sorry if I didn't really quite explain what it was for or what plans I had for your answers. Nevertheless, here it is. c;

And by the way, this photo/post is part of a series. This is post is part one. The next post will be part two.
The reason or concept of this photo will be explained in that post as well. So check it out, alright?

Credits to Denise, Rowna, Elmar, Kimi, Jonell, Mi-ann, Larz, Gayle, Francium, and Crissa. ♥

P.S. I think I may have murdered your names somehow.. for that I'm sorry.

36: Prologue

Hi there! How are you? I hope you're doing great! It's already the month of February, the month of love and hearts.
What are your plans for the 14th? Hook me up!
Anyway, in lieu with this month's theme, the rest of the photos to be submitted for this month
would all be about love and other matters of the heart.
Aside from that, I won't be posting everyday anymore. I'd probably be posting at least
twice or thrice a week from now on. This is just a temporary thing though.
I still plan to submit up to 365 pictures, as promised.

By the way, here are some details about the photo. This photo was taken sometime in the evening.
The idea came to me when I was out for a walk with one of my dogs one night and I  noticed that the flowers
we have here at home have a certain other charm to them at this time of the day. Enchanting, really.
And so that's why I tried it out and this photo is one of the good ones I got.

As for the title, it goes with the idea that this post will be the springboard to the other photos I will be submitting
in lieu with this month's theme which is love and other matters of the heart. And no texts because the photo can
speak for itself. It's a rose, a symbol of love. And it's still a bud, just about to come out in full bloom.
As the saying goes: "the rose speaks of love silently, in a language known only to the heart".

It really is very appropriate as the prologue for the next coming posts.

Also, I am open to requests. Send me a quote or an idea and I shall try my best to take the perfect photo
that would go along with it. Remember, this month's theme is love and other matters of the heart.
Email me here.

So, that's it. Till next time!

34: Kung Hei Fat Choi

Here's to the bright new year,
and a fond farewell to the old.
Here's to the things that are yet to come,
and to the memories that we hold.
- Anonymous

What the Chinese Characters mean: Kung Hei Fat Choi (Cantonese)/ Xin Nian Kuai Le / Happy New Year

It's the Chinese New Year! c: Happy New Year of the Metal Rabbit everyone!
I hope you'd all have a fruitful (Chinese) New Year. c:

I used Fortune Cookies in this post dedicated to the Chinese New Year because I find them tasty and I find reading my fortune amusing. I like them too because of the anticipation I get when I crack open one. The feeling of "What fortune would I get this time?" Haha'' It's childish and pathetic for most but I find it really fun and it makes me happy. c:
So, for this new year, do what makes you happy guys! BUT just as long as its not going to endanger or hurt you and other people (especially other people)! c:  Once again, Xin Nian Kuai Le! Kung Hei Fat Choi! ♥

P.S. I am not sure of the chinese characters if I made them right. Please comment or send me an email if I got them wrong.
Moreover, there's really a debate over which is the right greeting to say. I don't really know since I'm not really Chinese. However, I did some research and Kung Hei Fat Choi is acceptable, mostly used and its Cantonese. And if my memory serves me right, Cantonese is one of China's dialects or language. So yeah. c:

33: I Love You

 I LOVE YOU

No text. Just the photos themselves. I don't need to really write anything here. The photos suffice. I will just let them speak in my behalf. Moreover, I would guess there's already a person (or group of people) that popped to your head right now. Think of them. Think of these words. Let that happy, suffocating, mushy, fluffy, warm and strange feeling overcome you.
And to the reader who's reading right now. I may not know who you are in real life but I'd like you to know that I love you.
Thank you so much for checking out this post! I hope you'll check out the others and help me share this blog.

32: February

A heart that loves is always young.
- Greek Proverb

Goodbye January! Hello February! Hurray! I got to February! I didn't think I'd make it! Haha' I guess I am still very motivated to do this blog after all. I hope I get to my 365th post. Please pray that I will forever be motivated till the end! c:

Anyway, LOVE! Love is in the air! It's that time of the year again. The love month, our darling month that holds only 28 days (29 during leap years). The flowers, the chocolates, and the stuffed toys! Can you feel it? The warm tingly fuzzy feeling atmosphere? I hope you do. c: Keep your heart young. Spread the LOVE guys! Happy Hearts/Love Month!

31: Wordplay

Wordplay hides a key to the reality that the dictionary
tries in vain to lock inside every free word.
- Julio Cortazar

I haven't been able to get over the wordplay done by the priest yesterday and so I decided to dedicate a post about it. c:
Though the game featured in this entry (I forgot what it's called) isn't entirely related with the word "wordplay", it was the only thing I could find here at home. Besides, the game deals with words after all and "wordplay" does so too. And so for this entry, I'll not only be talking about "wordplay" but of this game (who's name still escapes me) as well.

I remember having played this game when I was younger with my sisters and cousins. We'd take old notebooks or scratch papers and pencils out and play the game. Sometimes it was easy but most of the time it was hard. Haha'' But it was fun and a learning experience in one. It's too bad though that this game seems to be extinct nowadays. I miss playing this thing. c:

Wordplay has its certain charm. c: I don't know why but I find them amusing and when used correctly can create a good impact on people. c: Take for example Eminem and Jason Mraz, they are good with wordplay and they incorporate it in their songs. Makes me realize that wordplay is a skill and not everyone can do it quite easily as they do.

Anyway, I want to pose a challenge to you who's reading this post right now. Let's play the game. Write down all the words you could come up with using the photo above. Comment or send them to me via email. c:
Enjoy!

30: Beatitude

BEATITUDE = BE ATTITUDE

I actually got this from the priest during mass. It was part of his homily. He said that Jesus/God did'nt just "create" the Beatitudes for us to see or read in the bible and learn about from catechists or nuns or priests. They were created for us to follow and as he have said, make the Beatitudes your Attitude therefore Beatitude = Be Attitude. It was a simple wordplay with but it had a great impact and it means a lot more than it actually is right now (for me that is). That's why I want to share this with you today. c:

By the way, the picture is really (supposed to be) a clean, not crumpled blank sheet of paper. It didn't look quite right during the post-processing and so I used a crumpled texture I got from DA to make it look better (plus the ocean colors overlay too). c: I think this is my simplest entry yet. I have a kind of mix feelings with this photo. I want to trash it and not trash it. The photo is simple yet the words mean so much. Hmmm.. Any thoughts? Comment or email me.

27: Reading

I find reading an aphrodisiac and orgasmic
leading me to climatic heights.
It's an obsession.
- KatEstraDalena

Finally! Something coming from me! Haha'' I dont really know how or why I came up with this thought but it's true.
It came to me last year, actually, one of those days again after reading lots of books and manga. I know that the words I used here are kind of lewd and I don't really have a good excuse for it except the fact that at that time, most of the books and manga I have read were about romance and yaoi manga. Haha''

Reading has always been a passion (an obsession of mine). I always find happiness in it. I have to thank my mother (and some of my teachers before) for this passion because without it I wouldnt be the person I am today.

This is also a shoutout to all those who share the same passion as I do.
Do you have any good books to recommend?
Or anything to share at all about your passion for reading?
Hook me up!

She clawed her way into my heart and wouldn't let go.
-Missy Altijd

It was my midterms yesterday and because I was out the whole day on friday, I wasnt really able to study. Haha''
And so, during lunch break, I crammed for my next midterm exam that day. At first, I was studying so well. I got distracted by classmates but I was able to still go back to studying. However, this little fur ball here was a temptation.
It totally got me distracted. I wasn't able to go back to studying while it was right in front of me.
Belle, a classmate of mine who's also a fan of felines, played with her while I took pictures.
This little one was playful and a bit mischievous. She liked being petted, her tail told us so.
She was purring all the while we showered her with love and attention.
Truly, this little one clawed her way into our hearts and wouldn't let go.

22: Coffee

A cup of coffee shared with a friend
is happiness tasted and time well spent.

-Anonymous

This post is related to the previous post,  # 21: Eating With Friends
It's related because after eating out at mcdo, we moved to Starbucks to get some coffee
and continue hanging out over there. c:

We stayed outside the shop this time. Haha'' We didn't want to disturb the serious people who were drinking their coffee and minding their own business inside the shop. c: Besides, the guard was kinda strict so he might have kicked us out if we got too noisy. Moreover, there were some med students (my twin's classmates and schoolmates) studying too.

21: Eating with Friends

One of the delights of life is eating with friends,
Second to that is talking about eating.
And, for an unsurpassed double whammy,
there is talking about eating while you are eating with friends.

- Laurie Colwin

It was an unplanned date of sorts. We kinda just met in school by coincidence and decided then and there to eat out. c:
It was fun being able to spend some time with these guys after not being able to spend some time with them for several months after our graduation. I mean we met but not as long as that day. And so, after Miss D's class, we headed out to mcdo since it was the closest fast food that we all liked to go to.

We were able to talk about a lot of things. What has been going on with our individual lives and what not. Kidding around, laughing and just messing with each other. We were the only group of customers who were really very noisy. We didn't really care though. Haha'' They didn't know us anyway and we didn't know them as well. It's a win-win situation.
French Fries madness, murdered them with ketchup, and some monster floats on the go. It was fun.

I really look forward to seeing them again and this time, hopefully, there would be more of us rather than just us.
I mean, the more the merrier right? c:

This post is for you guys. c: Thank you Miss Destura, Adri, Hanna, and Yel. ♥
And also thank you to Sol and Ilot who joined us (although a bit late). ♥
See you on Valentine's Day! c:

P.S. The next post would be related to this one. Reason will be explained there. c:

19: It Was Nothing That You Said

It was nothing that you said.
It was everything you didn't say.
And all the tears I've shed, won't wash the pain away.
-Julia Fordham // It was nothing that you said

I woke up to a rainy day and the first thing that came to mind was to listen to Julia Fordham's album entitled "Girlfriend". I don't really know what came to me but I guess for me her songs were as soothing as the cold wind and the falling rain that day. The text from the photo are from the lines of Julia Fordham's song, "It was nothing that you said". This song is one of the songs in that album that really has the most impact to me. The reason however is something I cannot share for now but I am sure that all of you can somehow relate to this.

17: Dirty Chucks

I love wearing these.  I have three, as you can see. It's an obsession.
I don't really care where I go or what I wear just as long as I wear these babies. c:
Why do I like them so much? Because they are very durable and comfortable to wear.
Moreover, I am not really "girlish" and I'm more of a tomboy. These babies and I are inseparable.
That does not mean I'm homo. So STFU.

Conclusion: Sandals / Flip Flops < Rubber Shoes.

So yeah, the text in the photo says it all.

I'm just a freak in DIRTY CHUCKS.

By the way, I would like to give credit to a friend of mine who gave me the idea
for the post-processing of the photos used for this entry. Momo-chan! Thank you so much!
